James Fraser has been living and working in Madrid for over six years and has a probably unhealthy knowledge of the better and more authentic bars and restaurants. He speaks English and Spanish fluently as well as Italian and French and will be able to help you with any language difficulties that may arise, including translation and explanation of menus, and advise you on food and drink. Formerly a financial journalist in London, James studied Classics and Italian at Edinburgh University and has a strong interest in European culture. He will be able to furnish you with interesting snippets of information about Madrid and advise you on what must not be missed.

Heather Sutton, native of San Diego, California, has been in Madrid for 9 years. She came to Spain (Seville) for an academic year while at college, and fell in love with the lifestyle, the food, the people and the scenery. After graduating with a degree in Spanish, she returned to Spain to try her luck. She has taught English to business people and children for many years. Recently, she changed careers and has since worked in a publishing house and in a press agency. Throughout this time, Heather's always found time for one of her favorite hobbies: eating and drinking her way around Madrid, finding the best bits of the city. She's got a near-native grasp on her adopted city and will tell you all about the off-the-beaten-track tidbits and explain the philosophy behind Adventurous Appetites Ltd.
Danny Donnellan is half Irish and half Spanish and has lived in Madrid most of his life. Graduating in Economics from Madrid University he is bilingual in English and Spanish and also speaks, Italian, French and German. He knows Madrid like the back of his hand and has probably experienced most, if not all, of the bars and restaurants in Madrid!! Being in the Food business, importing seafood from Ireland, he likes to consider himself a bit of a Gourmet. He will explain to you how Adventurous Appetites Ltd works and the philosophy behind what we do, and will be able to advise you what to order from the menu and give you many tips on Spanish culture, society and history.
