Atzeneta is a
small town in the region of the Maestrat.
Its municipal term, of about 70 square kilometers
is in the confluence of the regions of the Alt
Maestrat and the Baix Maestrat. It limits with
the municipal terms of Vistabella, Benafigos,
Culla, Xodos, Llucena and Les Useres.
The communications are easy from and to the capital,
Castelló de la Plana, at about 45 km of
distance. Atzeneta is in a bucket at 400 m of
altitude, surrounded by mountains with heights
that go of the 700 to the 1,200 meters.
The climate is of transition between the coastal
Mediterranean and the mountain one , although
it must consider that the situation of the town,
sunk in a cuveta, causes frequent situations of
thermal investment in winter. Annual precipitations
approach 645 mm.
