SUPPORT YA-YA-YAH

As you all know, JE announced recently that there will be a debut next Spring, but not who will debut. The fact that Kitty hasn't dissolved when it was created as a supposedly temporary group, plus the airing of the new shows You-tachi (with Hikaru and the other 3 Kitty members) and Hyakushiki (with Yabu and other juniors), has got many of us worried that the announced debut might mean the end of the Ya-Ya-yah show and of Ya-Ya-yah as a group.

Fiona, the webmistress of the Chinese site Happy Town, has started a campaign among the Chinese fans to support Ya-Ya-yah, and her friend Feather, who has been so kind as to translate the plan outline into English, has asked me to try and involve Western fans in their efforts.

The idea is to send a weekly postcard to The Shounen Club to show our support to Ya-Ya-yah.

As a heading write: "ステージで輝いてるYa-Ya-yah("Ya-ya-yah shines on the stage"). Below you can write as short message of support, in polite English or Japanese. It could be for instance "Please let Ya-Ya-yah debut next Spring".

The postcard should be addressed to:

c/o "The Shounen Club", Nihon NHK denshidai, 2-2-1, Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo-to, 150-8001 JAPAN

〒150-8001 日本 東京都 渋谷区 神南 日本NHK電視台 2-2-1 -BS「ザ少年倶楽部」係

I think it might be useful to write it both in Western writing and Japanese.

P.S.: Please take the time to read Feather's translation of the plan outline below for more details.

P.P.S: Please spread the word. =)

PLAN OUTLINE TO SUPPORT YA- YA-YAH TO DEBUT NEXT SPRING

Before I actually say anything, please read the following news seriously.

From: 2.10.06 11.02PM Yahoo Japan news

“Next Spring the debut of new Johnny’s idol”

The new TV programme YOUたち(All of you)(11.45on Sunday) started in August. The programme includes Koki and Nakamaru as the MC. Also at the same time the other programme which started on the 17th of October at Fuji Television which is called “Jr’s encyclopaedia”. Johnny san said that YOUたちis going to be the programme for the birth of the future star. Also, not to mention about the movement and direction of Jr. next year. “Next April Jr would be even bigger. Also the announcement of new CD debut was mentioned as well. “Not only Kat-tun but all other senior will be supporting them” said by Nakamaru.

Now it had been in a worrying state for the Jr. KITTY didn’t finish as it was said before as being a “Time limit” group. Also at the same time we just had two new Jr. TV programme appearing. All these had woken up YA fans awareness of their future development. Before YA fans might think that seeing YA on the screen is something for certain. But the long time of the cold shoulder the fans had been giving (Because we are used to it) might have the effect on Johnny’s which lead them to a new direction? Although it’s not for sure yet which Jr. is on the list of next Spring’s debut but quite often the decision always turns out to be surprising. As being a YA fan of course we wouldn’t want to see YA split up one day. On the other hand, a Jr’s actual chance for the debut only come once or twice and the time doesn’t last that long. Being a fan we would like to do something to them, to show Johnny’s our thought, so……

*Emergency! Our last wish on next spring’s debut. Weekly letter posting!*

The final decision had always depends on how fans respond to it, hadn’t it? So this time the action we are making is just to show our support on YA but not actually trying to go against Johnny’s. We all have to know that a new group’s debut is never that easy. It can involve in lots of groups’ changing, or even the future of the programme. YA had its own programme name after the group. If the group split up it only means that either the programme would be taken over or finish. Is it something we can just sit and watch? I know there’s quite a lot YA fans who like to just collect YA’s things and news quietly. Normally no one would mind that but this time it actually involve the question on debut this kind of terribly important question. I really hope all the fans can honestly think about it, the more people do it the better we get. If you really like these kids please give us a hand.

The actual plan:

--Mainly sending post card/letter to the official address. Personally I would suggest “Shounen Club”. For fan club we can only send to a certain person but if it’s a TV programme it would be much clearer and easier for the staff to understand.

1. If you can please use a post card which is much easier for people to see the content.

2. The written content must be simple and clear to show our support on YA. For example: I wish to see Ya on stage….etc. ( It can be written in either English or Japanese, but if you can of course Japanese would be the best choice)

3. It doesn’t really work just to send it once, so I’m hoping that people could do one a week and keep it going for a while and see the effect of it.

4. If there is other important staff which is missing I’ll add it on in the future, for now what we really need is your support!

5. The title of the post card/letter please write ステージで輝いてるYa-Ya-yah(Ya-ya-yah the sparkle star on stage) Some fans suggested that we should all have a unify title which would make it less work for the staff so please for everyone all to use this title and fill in the content of your own. But we must watch the way we put thing, nor matter in Japanese or English it all has to be in a polite way. What we are trying to do is not protesting but to support YA.

*Please pass this on as much as you can. Thank you.*

The address of Shounen Club:

c/o "The Shounen Club", Nihon NHK denshidai, 2-2-1, Jinnan, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo-to, 150-8001 JAPAN

At last, please don’t think we are just making the fuss of some small issue. We are just trying to do something  for the people we like.

Added information:

1.  People who want to hand write:

a.) Please use formal writing. If it’s written in Japanese please use the correct tense. If you are unsure about Japanese or don’t have any friend who can speak it then please write in formal English.

b.) Watch out for copyright. Japan takes on this issue really seriously. Shounen Club is an international programme so we can see it but for programme like YAx3 which we actually downloaded from the internet. Please do not mention anything about seeing it before.

c.) The point should be focus on liking YA’s performances. As long as we express the support on YA its fine.
