Gossos

One day the roads of the luck, they crossed in our lives. From then on, anything is I eat before. Gossos (lazy dogs) as we are, we could not call each other in another way. Our dirty but welcoming local made to arise our melodies that later on, in the study, they have gone evolving. In all the corners for where the music has taken us, we have found cradles for our songs. To people that have inspired our hearts and our lives, to our families that have been always there, to the good friends and friends of Manresa and districts, and to all those that now are more " gossos " than before. Thank you, him that we make he/she goes for you.
Brief chronology of the group
The group Gossos is formed as such the summer of 1993. The heat and the necessity of fresh air propitiates and believe its sound completely acoustic.
This way, of a casual encounter, four youths that came from other bands of the city, they began to compose their songs, without any pretense type, only to play and to spend it well.
Of this work, you begins to pick up the first fruits and it was time to begin to act. In a first moment, their city, Manresa, welcomes them; but it is in improvised concerts in the street, where they realize their peculiarities.
At the end of the '93 and principles of the '94, the group is presented to two competitions and it is rewarded in both. The prize of the second competition (1ª Sample of Pop - Rock for youths organized by the Generalitat of Catalunya), them it allows to record their first disk called generically Gossos, as producer he/she has a brilliant composer, also of Manresa, Carles Cases.

The year 95, Gossos has sold more than 6.000 copies of its first work and they are had gone for a walk by whole Catalunya in a first summer tour like teloneros of groups like Lax'n'Busto, Electric Dharma", Ronaldos, and Presumed Implied (groups well-known in first line then in our country). After a very good reception before the public, Gossos the trust increases in yes same and in their own project.

In the year '96, comes out its second disk En privat (In private), taken place by Nando González (Guitarist, composer and producing of bands like to Revolve, Amistades Peligrosas...)
"El carrer dels gossos" (the street of the dogs) is presented in a tour for several theaters, beginning in Manresa and ending up in Barcelona with great success.
The communication among Gossos and public that in if same and for their acoustic form it is already more direct, you apparent clearly in the show of the group. In summer, you continues making direct outdoors and they try to travel other lands of the country like Mallorca where the group is specially dear and it also serves as bank of tests to introduce with success their music to foreign tourists. Remarcable also the performance in two occasions as teloneros of the mythical James Brown in Roses and Barcelona. The tour of this year closes with some 70 performances. A small one great record.

In the year '97, their second stage begins with theaters and mainly they get ready for its following season tour.
This year, Gossos he/she has their own technical infrastructure and it will share scenarios with the majority of groups of the country i some of it was.
In the middle of summer the group the preproducción of its third work begins. This time, not the means lack. The production was headed by Suso Saiz (producing of high national recognition international i) and their team. Suso takes to the group to mix the disk in Madrid.
This contact propitiates new communication doors with people of outside of Catalunya and of the environment Barcelona. This will be one of the points that Gossos will want to work in ahead, to connect with people of the whole world, to advance and to learn new things.

The year '98 begins with the new one I dial, the third, without title: it is a symbol, of force, created by the one own group, a "Mandala". With this launching the group reaches the figure of 30.000 disks, and it locates them in the head of sales in Catalunya. In this new one summer tour Gossos will be poster head in most of concerts. It develops a spectacular infrastructure of sound and light. The tour has 35 concerts, distributed for the whole Catalan and Balearic geography. In the middle of summer the group decides to take out a new disk before ending up the year; their first direct.
In September of the '98, Gossos records in the theater of its city two serial concert nights. The new disk is called Directament (Directly). It is a disk of versions of their own topics, some unpublished and also versions of other groups that Gossos usually develops in direct; you fear in Castellano and English. The tonic of the disk is the freshness, propitiated because it is a work fact directly with friends of the profession. Gossos this time it acts in own name also in the production.

The year '99 is presented as a year of replanteamientos and opening of new doors. The last year of the millennium. At this time, Gossos outlines a challenge intercultural. We want to give to know to our cultures music and we want realimentarnos of that that let us learn of them, to thresh new songs that make us More global, More universal.

Continuing with the creative line that you began in the last disk of I study, we have made ourselves accompany in this trip for our previous producer, the magician Suso Saiz i in the part of mixtures for Guillermo Quero. We have decided to take a trip and him we understand as a going trip and of turn, to enter in new markets that are ignored mutually i to be able to continue the learning of the human contact, with many other people that as us, either for the Catalan's little weight outside of Catalonia or for the one ignorance of the markets, we have left them very far.
The disk "de Viaje" (of trip) it moves in the ambiguity, if us we put to speak of the sound. We begin to record it in Madrid and the mixtures took us to Figueres, following the trip. We explore our purely acoustic sound to move to others spaces, sometimes more electric or simply generating own sound spaces; the space Gossos, where we can put the Pop music - acoustic Rock, the Folk if it fits, the electronic music or the music of the world, alone to mention some examples.
They are twelve songs that try to be delirious a little bit, to the doors of a new millennium where nobody has anything clear, in a moment that misled we look toward before, toward where alone the imagination allows us to dream like it will be the tomorrow.
The respect to the realities of each one is also fundamental part of our trip, there where it takes us, as always, we will find people that lives to live i that us he/she teaches a heap of things of the simple life and of their recompense, among so much traveling will leave a trail of the trip...

Gossos
