About the object:      (texto en español)
ngc2403 is a spiral galaxy located in Camelopardalis (the Giraffe) constellation. It lays at an estimated distance of 8 light-year million,  belonging to the M81 Group of galaxies, one of the nearest groups to the Local Group.

About the image:
This is my first image using Astronomik RGB 2" filters on the Artemis 4021. I've used less total exposure time than I'd like, but I had to send the camera to UK for service (I broke the optical window) and there was bad weather last months, so that I won't be able to get more ngc2403 images from my observatory until next year.  Image's background is a little noisy, but the galaxy is very extended and I've had to pay for increasing, even slightly, outside galaxy arms areas.

Telescope:       COMELLAS  telescope  (250 f/4.8 Newton). Lumicon coma corrector.
Camera:           Artemis ART4021.   Astronomik filters.
Exposures:       L :   45 x 300"     (  3:45 total)

El objeto:
ngc2403 es una galaxia espiral situada en la constelación de Camelopardalis (la Jirafa). Se encuentra a unos 8 millones de añoz-luz de la Vía Láctea, perteneciendo al grupo de galaxias de M81, uno de los grupos galácticos más cercanos a nuestro propio Grupo Local.
 
La imagen:
Primera imagen con los filtros RGB 2" de Astronomik y la Artemis 4021.  He empleado menos tiempo de exposición total del que me hubiera gustado, pero entre el envío de la cámara a Inglaterra para una revisión (rotura por mi culpa de la ventana óptica) y el mal tiempo, ya no me es posible conseguir imágenes de ngc2403 desde el observatorio hasta el año que viene.  El fondo de la imagen ha quedado algo ruidoso, pero la galaxia es muy extensa y éste es el precio a pagar por intentar resaltar, aunque mínimamente, las zonas más exteriores de los brazos.
