DPX4Mac QuickLook Plugin

Finally I found time to organize the source code I created time ago for DPX manipulation. As a result, I've created a new working, though not well-optimized yet, framework and a plugin for QuickLook (Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard). You can download both for free from sourceforge.
I know it's still a little bit slow, but the previous version was 12 times slower. Internally it uses the framework, which converts all the pictures to 16-bit for higher quality manipulation. I'll optimize it soon adding other "experimentally working" things such as 3D LUTs and Cineon support. But... step by step. There are, also coming, QuickTime Extensions and Spotlight plugins.
Feel you free providing comments, suggestions or reporting issues ;)

TC Calculator 1.1 is OUT!!!

After many weeks and long nights of hard work (as TD in the postproduction facility where I'm working) I've had enough time to fine tune many details of the TC Calculator. Because of that terrible bug I've decided to update it right now and finish all the improvements later. I'll do my best for you to have them as soon as possible, but I'm too busy now.
In any case, in this new version you'll find support for 29,97 Drop-Frame, 50p, 60p, and many improvements in the GUI and usability.
If everything is OK with Apple you'll have the update ready to download by 48 hours from now.

Projector Screen Size Calculator

I've been suggested through the comments to create a calculator for image projection. Yesterday I was figuring out how to do it and it's really simple, but I want to ask you again.
What do you prefer?
  1. A FREE APP with no database (you write 2 or 3 values from the datasheet of the projector) and get the result
  2. A PAID APP with a database of the most popular projector (so you are limited to find the model you want in the database and requires upgrades)
THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR GREAT FEEDBACK!!!

THE bug: TC Calculator is not operating at 24 or 30 fps!!!

As I posted before I can not read all the comments posted at the AppStore. In fact, I can not read comments at the USA Store. So, checking manually each store I found yesterday a comment telling about a bug in the calculator. WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME? If you want to see this so bashful bug just try to sum or substract 00:00:02:00 and 00:00:02:00 at any speed different to 25fps.
Now it's solved and I'll post the update very soon with other new features.
Thanks for your patience.

PLEASE, IF YOU FIND ANY ISSUE TELL ME DIRECTLY SO I CAN SOLVE IT FASTEST

P.S. TC Calculator works fine with those speeds if you are converting TC's to different speeds.

Poll

I'm finishing next revision of TC calculator and almost all the logic paths are now checked and working fine. Previously to the launch I want to ask you something:

What do you prefer, a "Vari" button for specifying variable (non-dropping-frames) speeds or multiple buttons to select them? On one hand "Vari" may be more flexible but on the other hand it's less ergonomic.

Let me know your opinions. Leave a comment ;)

TC Calculator 1.1 is coming closer

This weekend I've finished the code of the model for the versión 1.1 of TC Calculator.
Now it's working fine with 29,97 Drop-Frame Timecodes (required for NTSC zones), and I'm fine tuning some new features for a better user experience ;)
If everything is OK and it passes all the Test Cases I'll update the app by this weekend. So, please, don't be shy and tell me what you need for the next version. You're still on time.
And, as always, thanks for your acceptation launching TC Calculator to the Weekly Top 50 in it's almost one week of life ;)

I listen to you ;)

For the third consecutive day TC calculator was in the TOP 50 downloads of the day! Thanks again!
I've just received two comments through the AppStore, many of them directly and almost two thousand downloads. Thanks to those that provided so important feedback ;) I want to say something to everybody:
I listen to your suggestions and I'm developing a new free update including many of those functionalities you've most requested.
The original idea was to provide a low cost app with full capabilities but, WTF!, you'll have it for free ;) At the end this is just a hobby for me. My main occupation is Technical Director at a VFX company, I enjoy it and I don't want to earn money (now) with this kind of applications ;)
I can not read all the comments posted on the AppStore, so if you want to be sure I'll read it yours you should write me an email, give me a call with skype, contact me through iNVASIVE CODE or leave a post in this website.
