I'm finishing next revision of TC calculator and almost all the logic paths are now checked and working fine. Previously to the launch I want to ask you something:

What do you prefer, a "Vari" button for specifying variable (non-dropping-frames) speeds or multiple buttons to select them? On one hand "Vari" may be more flexible but on the other hand it's less ergonomic.

Let me know your opinions. Leave a comment ;)

TC Calculator 1.1 is coming closer

This weekend I've finished the code of the model for the versión 1.1 of TC Calculator.

Now it's working fine with 29,97 Drop-Frame Timecodes (required for NTSC zones), and I'm fine tuning some new features for a better user experience ;)

If everything is OK and it passes all the Test Cases I'll update the app by this weekend. So, please, don't be shy and tell me what you need for the next version. You're still on time.

And, as always, thanks for your acceptation launching TC Calculator to the Weekly Top 50 in it's almost one week of life ;)

For the third consecutive day TC calculator was in the TOP 50 downloads of the day! Thanks again!

I've just received two comments through the AppStore, many of them directly and almost two thousand downloads. Thanks to those that provided so important feedback ;) I want to say something to everybody:

I listen to your suggestions and I'm developing a new free update including many of those functionalities you've most requested.

The original idea was to provide a low cost app with full capabilities but, WTF!, you'll have it for free ;) At the end this is just a hobby for me. My main occupation is Technical Director at a VFX company, I enjoy it and I don't want to earn money (now) with this kind of applications ;)

I can not read all the comments posted on the AppStore, so if you want to be sure I'll read it yours you should write me an email, give me a call with skype, contact me through iNVASIVE CODE or leave a post in this website.

It's Great! TC Calculator was yesterday at the daily top 50 list! More than 800 downloads all around the world in a single day made me think about next upgrade. So I promise that I'll prepare it ASAP to provide the 29,97 Drop Frame support that was removed from the original project. I'm quite busy now, but probably it'll be ready very soon.

Thanks too to those friends who spoke about TC Calculator on their blogs or sites!!!

Evolution...

Well, I'm involved in a personal evolution so in the next days I'll write here in english and, progressively, I'll remove old documents and pages from this blog though I'll try to leave some backups online.

I'm not very happy with google since Chrome was release. Those, now changed, licence terms were too much for me. Now I'm moving away from Google accounts and services. I don't want Google to have all about me: email, website, documents, calendars, contacts, etc. I'm not sure still how I'll make the transition, but I'll do it.

For a time you'll can keep in touch with me through usual channels, and I'll use www.invasivecode.com as an alternative contact and expression way.

TC Calculator en iTunes

Por fin se ha publicado en la AppStore de iTunes la versión reducida de mi calculadora de TCs, no os la perdáis si trabajáis con vídeo o cine y tenéis un iPhone/iPod Touch.

Para aquellos que me lo habéis preguntado: Existe una versión con más funciones en desarrollo. No está en la AppStore porque primero quería ver la aceptación de ésta como prototipo, por eso hay botones en blanco ;) y Sí, ¡la próxima versión incluirá ese maldito código a 29,97 (con y sin Drop Frame)!

Tengo muchas mejoras ya preparadas (hace meses que terminé esta aplicación), algunas espero liberarlas gratuitamente en breve, pero probablemente desde www.invasivecode.com os acabemos ofreciendo a todos una versión Pro con decenas de funciones nuevas (algunas espectaculares teniendo en cuenta que es una calculadora) a un precio bajo -hay que amortizar los eurazos que nos hace pagar Apple sólo por poder enviarle las aplicaciones-

Update: Estoy emocionado, ¡en menos de 24 horas está ya en el TOP 50 de descargas del día! Al final parece que dentro de poco voy a tener que poner gratuitamente la versión mejorada con formatos americanos ;)
