REDIBEC -- Iberoamerican Network for Ecological Economics
The Iberoamerican Network for Ecological Economics is an academic network oriented to scientific exchange and joint work between individuals and institutions, with a comon interest in Ecological Economics. Our activities go beyond the academia, and we focus also on methodological as well as instrumental issues. Our geographical scope is mainly Latin America, plus Spain and Portugal.
REDIBEC works through national nodes across the region, and a permanent secretariat at Quito's Latin American Faculty for Social Sciences (FLACSO).
Our main activities are: (i) The organisation of the biennial Iberoamerican Conference on Environment and Development, the next edition to be held in Costa Rica in November 2007, and (ii) the edition of the on-line, peer-reviewed, and free scientific journal Iberoamerican Journal of Ecological Economics, a bilingual (Spanish and Portuguese) source of ecological economics in the region.
More information on both initiatives, as well as on publications and other issues, can be found clicking here.
