Teaching
My teaching activities include both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, basically whithin the field of Ecological Economics and Resource Economics. I mainly teach at UAB, but I also participate in some other Master and PhD programmes. Moreover, I participate in series of summer schools such as Liphe4 Summer School, or Economía Ecológica en la UPO, and I give single lectures at different Masters.
2011 - 2012
At the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona- Foundations of Ecological Economics with Esteve Corbera, Jeroen van den Bergh, Erik Gómez-Baggethun, and Joan Martínez-Alier - Compulsory course for students of the especialisation in Ecological Economics at the Master in Environmental Studies, which is part of the PhD in Environmental Sciences, and for the students at the Joint European Master Programme in Environmental Studies (JEMES), at the Institute for Environmental Science and Technology at UAB

- Economía de los Recursos Naturales (Natural Resources Economics) - with Esteve Corbera. Course for 3rd year students in the Degree in Environmental Sciences. The course presents main topics, concepts and methods from resource economics and from ecological economics, with especial emphasis on biophysical indicators and societal metabolism. - Models Econòmics del Medi Ambient (Economic Models of the Environment) - with Giuseppe Munda. Course for 4th year students in the Degree in Economics. The course presents main topics, concepts and methods from environmental and ecological economics with especial emphasis on biophysical indicators and societal metabolism.
- Bases de la Economía Ecológica (MFA) (Bases of Ecological Economics, MFA) - The course, within the Máster en Desarrollo Económico y Sostenibilidad (Master in Economic Development and Sustainability), introduces basic tools for conducting biophysical analysis within ecological economics, such as Material Flow Accounting (including HANPP and Ecological Footprint), energy accounting (eMergy and exergy), or Multi-Scale Integrated Analysis of Societal and Ecosystem Metabolism (MuSIASEM)
- Análisis del Metabolismo de las Sociedades (Societal Metabolism). The course, within the Programa de Actualización de Economía Ecológica presents basic concepts from Complex Systems' thinking that help in analysing the energy and material metabolism of societies. In particular, MFA, eMergy, and MuSIASEM methodologies are presented.
