The guitar duo +Que2 was created in Salamanca in 1998. At the moment it is formed by Fernando Colás and Orlando Hechavarría.
Orlando is a guitar teacher at the Music School of Salamanca. Fernando is a guitar teacher at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música of Salamanca.
In May 2002, as part of the official programme of the Consortium Salamanca 2002 European Cultural Capital, the duo performed the world première of “Tres Nocturnos” by Federico Moreno Torroba together with the orchestra of the Conservatorio Profesional de Música of Salamanca conducted by Sergio Fuentes.
In 2003, for the Instituto Cervantes, they performed the world première of “Puertas de Madrid” (duet) by F. Moreno Torroba in Lisbon (Portugal) and in Panama (2004 Latin-American Cultural Capital) the first performance of “Puertas de Madrid” (guitars and orchestra) with the National Symphonic Orchestra of Panama conducted by Jorge L. Bradley, sponsored by the Spanish Embassy in Panama.

Invited by societies such as the Guitar Society of Philadelphia, Círculo Guitarrístico de Panama, Spanish Society of the Midwest or the Instituto Cervantes, the duo has performed in numerous concert halls; Settlement Music School (Philadelphia), Carver Hall (Pennsylvania), Intercontinental Hall (Chicago), West Fargo Auditorium (Alburquerque, New Mexico), Instituto Cervantes in Lisbon (Portugal), Teatro Bretón and CAEM in Salamanca (Spain) and the Balboa and A. Villalaz theatres (Panama).
They have given courses and masterclasses in the universities of Bloomsburg and Temple (Pennsylvania, USA), Lisbon (Portugal), Faculty of Fine Arts (Panama) and New Mexico (USA).

They have recorded 2 CDs: “Música del Siglo XX” (Music of the twentieth century) - (La Factoría label) by the composers Gnatalli, McCartney/Brouwer, A. Alchemy, A. Yorck, G Gershwin - and “Hogueras, Sombras y Brujas” (Bonfires, Shadows and Witches) - (Verso label) with the complete works of F. Moreno Torroba for two guitars and orchestra, which is the first recording made of these pieces.
During the 2006 season, the duo +Que2 will give the first performance of the complete works of Joaquim Homs on the centenary of his birth and they will on tour in the USA.
