In 2005 Mat composed the theme for Channel 4' comedy show '8 Out Of 10 Cats' hosted by Jimmy Carr.

By the end of 2005 Mat started to play with 'Mista Brown', a new London band founded by Brian Amos and Eamon Downes. Finally Mat became an official member of the band.

Mat played some gigs with the band in the London area and they also done a couple of radio sessions for the BBC.

Mista Brown's single 'Inner Harmony' produced by Brenda Lynch was released in February 2006 through American Blood Recordings.

Mista Brown project finally split up in 2007.

Mat played bass on Brett Anderson's live band during 2007.

Mat is now working as a journalist and edits lecool.com, a free, weekly online magazine presenting a selection of concerts, djs, exhibitions, odd movies and other cultural events and happenings.

On july 2009 Mat was credited as the composer of the theme for Channel 4' comedy panel game 'You Have Been Watching' presented by Charlie Brooker. The tune is actually a short instrumental different mix of Suede's 'Golden Gun'
