According to a note sent by Charlie Charlton (former Suede manager), Richard Oakes was travelling the world and working on new tunes after the Suede split..

Brett Anderson on UK teletext (april 2007): "Officially, Richard is writing. But going from being 17 to joining a huge band was something Richard never had time to deal with the fallout from before now."

He added: "I invited Richard to see my London shows. He didn't want Suede fans pointing at him and I understand that."
