VICENT GÓMEZ PONS, was born in 1961 in Sumacàrcer (Valencia/Spain). Hi has diplomas in Horn, Musicology and Composition from the Co-nservatories of Madrid and Valencia.
He has studied electroacustic music and computer-assisted composition at the LEA -Laboratorio de Música Electroacústica - at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Valencia with Leopoldo Amigo and Gabriel Brnic. Also, he has attended workshops about Max-Msp & sensors with Ricardo Climent & Composition and creation of interactive systems in the Art with Stefano Scarini.
He has composed chamber music, popular music for band and electroacustic music, so mixed as for tape. In 1999 his work "Taeba Tuperji" received a prize with special mention in the category Compositores Valencianos in the 1st Concurso Internacional de Creación Electroacústica, Ciberart-Lea.
He is organizer of electroacustics concerts “A la Palau” in Valencia. He has participed, how electro-nic music, in the festivals of music Museo Vostell Caceres, Música Contemporanea de Girona, Mostra Sonora de Sueca, XIV Festival Punto de Encuentro Valencia. His music has performed in the festivale Sinkro de Vitoria & Zeppelin de Barcelona de 2008.
In the field of chamber music, he has played horn in various groups. He is a member of Dsp-percussio & Interelectrodic duo, besides, Vicent collaborated with the percussion grup "Melting point", "Dúo Narciso", trio “Equilater Ensemble” & “Wave grup de Percussio” in the control and diffusion of sound in electronics works.
Between 1983 and 1984 he was horn soloist with the Orquesta Nacional de la Republica Dominicana and professor at the Conservatorio de Santo Domingo. He has performed with the orchestras of the RTVE, the Orquesta de Valencia and the Sinfónica de Valladolid.
He has also taught computer-music classes in the Facultad de las Artes de Altea, Universidad Miquel Hernández. At the present time he is Profesor de Música de Secundaria.
